 Charly Lownoise &Mental Theo

Charly & Theo met in 1991 at the Majorca reunion in Utrecht. Since
then, they have become best friends and, as two of Holland`s most
popular DJ`s, they perform all over Europe every week.

Holland`s biggest partu animals had six top ten hits in their homeland
last year. Who could forget those massive rave anthems Wonderful Days,
Stars, Together In Wonderland and their most recent hit, Your Smile.

As well as DJing and producing, they also run EIGHT independent record
labels, the most successful of which (Master Maximum, Riot Raw and
Bunkor Beats) have produced a number of huge European hits.

The wild pair are renowned for their maniac stage antics and copious
drinking, and will certainly add an element of madness to the Event V.

 QFX

Scotland`s happiest band have had a fantastic start to 1996. Their
cover version of Moby`s massive hit Every Time You Touch Me shot
straight into the UK Top 40 earlier this year and they haven`t looked
back since. They also say that their appearance on Top Of The Pops goes
down as one of the best moments of their careers!

Their new release, You`ve Got The Power, dedicated to all the people who
have supported QFX in their gradual but inevitable rise to the very top,
is set to firmly establish them as one of the UK`s finest dance acts,
and should ensure another appearance on TOTP.

Their long awaited second album, the follow up to their massive debut
album Freedom, will also be released later this year, and rumours are
rife that the legendary title track is being remixed and re-released.
Remember where you heard it first...

Q-TEX

Q-Tex are Scott Brown (Scotland`s premier writer/producer and DJ),
singer Gillian Tennant, Alan Todd and Gordon Anderson. The band have
been creating their unique blend of Hard House and Techno since Scott
and Gordon met at college in 1990. They have built up a reputation as
one of the biggest acts on the world-wide rave scene through their
performances to massive audiences in the UK and Europe and regular
visits to Australia.

Q-Tex released two singles last year, Power Of Love and Believe, both of
which narrowly missed out on entering the charts, but their latest
single. Let The Love, went straight into the UK Top 40 in June. The
long awaited debut album, entitled Into The Light is scheduled for
release later this year and will defiantly rocket the band to the heady
heights of stardom they deserve!

|2-DJs

 Lenny Dee

Lenny has been heavily involved in the scene since his first job as a
club DJ at the age of 16. He is considered to be the world`s finest
HardCore DJ and he has been described as everything from "The true God
of HardCore Techno" to "A confirmed Techno animal".

Lenny has produced for some of the world`s most renowned HardCore labels
since 1987, when he created his first tracks for XL and Fourth Floor
Records. He launched his own label, Industrial Strength, in 1992. It
was one of the first labels to produce hardcore music and still
continues to be one of the most successful in the world.

In April of this year, Lenny released a compilation of Industrial
Strength tracks from the past four years, on Earache Records, entitled
Industrial Fucking Strength.

What else is there to say, except in Scotland they call him "God"!

 Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo

Yeah, we`re gonna get to hear these two maniacs demonstrating their
DJing talents, too! Are you hard enough to stand it?

 Slipmatt

Slipmatt first got into DJing back in 1985 when he bought his first set
of decks and started spinning Hip Hop and House. He eventually got his
big break in 1989 and played his first real DJ set in front of 3,000
people at the legendary Raindance.

Since those early days his DJing skills have taken him across the world
including guest performances in the USA, Australia, Japan, Mexico and
Finland.

It was out DJing in the early 90s that he felt that the music was
changing, and not for the better, so he decided to music his own music
and play it out. This was when he created his own label, Universal
Records.

To date, Slipmatt has released 10 tracks of his own, including the two
top 40 hits he had with SL2, On A Ragga Tip and DJs Take Control back in
1991.

Now, he is, without question, the UK`s most respected Happy HardCore DJ,
having picked up the tag Uncle Slipmatt, such is the love ravers have
for this technical wizzard.

 Brisk

Brisk`s first real break came when he was offered a residency at his
local club, The Basement in Southampton. Soon the DJ bookings started
to come in and he was playing regularly at one off events around the
country. Brisk could play anything but preferred the Techno and
breakbeat material on the HardCore scene. In 1993. Brisk was booked to
play Club Kinetic in Stoke-On-Trent. He went down a storm and was
immediately offered the residency, which he sill holds.

Around this time. Brisk decided to do something he had always wanted to
try, to make music. His first release came out on Man From Uncle
Records, and he has since produced for numerous UK labels, including
Knite Force and Remix Records. Brisk also plans to launch a brand new
labels, Next Generation, wit DJ Ham in July 1996.

 The Producer

The Producer first got into music via the Breakdance and Hip Hop scene
back when he was at school. A pioneer in the UK techno scene, he is the
South West`s first Techno nutter! He has brought his unique blend of
Techno to every major party in the UK, and is most remembered for his
first major gig at Universe`s Mind, Body & Soul party in front of 20,000
people.

The Producer later teamed up with DJs Mach One and Ribbs to promote
their own Revelation events in Devon. Other than the Plymouth
Warehouse, Revelation was the only major Techno event happening on the
South Coast so they built up quite a following and got the chance to
showcase some of the UK`s major up and coming talent.

 Bass Generator

Bassy G, as he is more affectionately known, started off playing electro
and changed his style to House and Techno in 1987. His first club date
was in 1987 and his debut for Rezerection was at their first ever event
in Newcastle Mayfair in 1990.

He became manager of Newcastle`s Trax Records in 1989, and remained
there until 1992 but decided to leave open his own shop catering for the
North-East`s HardCore loving population. Bass Generator Records is now
established as the No.1 HardCore and Jungle outlet in the North-East of
England, and his Scottish outlet has been equally successful. As well
as being a DJ and record shop owner, Guy also runs his own imaginatively
titled label, Bass Generator Records. So, whenever he`s not DJing he`s
in the studio, whenever he`s not in the studio he`s in the shop, and
whenever he`s not in the shop he`s in bed - and I don`t mean he`s
sleeping!

 TechnoTrance

TechnoTrance started spinning vinyl four and a half years ago at under
18s events in Stirling`s Fubar Club. Through his own dedication he
finally progressed to the famous Awesome 101 all nighters and he played
his first big event at Rezerection on New Year`s Eve 1993. His first
musical outings were with Scottish favourites Suburban Delay and D-Tox,
producing the classic Energy Rush. He Then went on to work in the
studio with Gordon Tennant of Jolly Roger Records and Scott Brown of
Evolution Records, two of Scotland`s premier producers. Alex has
written and produced singles that have been released on Bass Generator
Records and Jolly Roger Records to name a few, but his biggest success
came with the tracks he recorded as Hyperact on Holland`s Dwarf Records
and Scotland`s Shoop! label.

Often found in gutters with Bass Generator on Sunday mornings, big
Techno is guaranteed to attract attention with his latest wild
hairstyle!

Scott Brown

Scotland`s premier Techno producer, DJ and label supremo, Scott has
gained his Scottish superstar status through sheer dedication. As well
as working in the studio almost every day, churning out more massive
Techno stompers, Scott travels the world DJing and performing live with
Q-Tex and still finds time to work on schedules for his four major
HardCore labels.

With over 50 releases to his name, Scott has rapidly become one of the
major new forces in the world`s Techno scene.

Marc Smith

For many years Marc has played a very important part in the progress of
the Scottish Techno scene. Marc is definitely one of the most popular
DJs in the UK and his mixing and scratching abilities are second to
none. It is this ability that has led him to being voted Scotland`s
No.1 DJ for the last five years and has earned him the chance to play
for some of Europe`s most prestigious venues.

Marc also runs his own Glasgow-based label, Notorious Vinyl, releasing
the cream of Scotland`s Breakbeat and Techno material.

 Tom Wilson

Uncle Tom`s weekend dance show has been running on Edinburgh`s biggest
radio station, Forth FM, for over 11 years now. Tom is among the most
respected long term members of the Scottish rave scene. He has played
out at every one of Scotland`s finest Techno events. Steppin' Out gets
over 60,000 listeners every weekend, and he still finds time to release
huge Techno anthems that get to number 8 in the Spanish charts. What
else is this man capable of?!

|2-MCs

 MC Sharkey

One of the best known names in the UK scene, thanks to Toytown, his huge
collaboration with DJ Hixxy, MC Sharkey can be found at major events
everywhere, DJing, MCing and partying hard! His style is truly unique,
and he`ll fit right in with the vibe at Event V.

 MC Ron

The big, big American who`s long been regarded as one of the scene`s
leading MCs, Ron`s gonna make even the huge Rezerection stage look tiny
as he jumps around singing, shouting, laughing and scratching like a
lunatic. You don`t need to worry about missing Ron, because you can`t :
There`s no mistaking that maniac laugh!
