                      My five favourite Guitarists
                      ----------------------------

               done pitch-bendingly by Mammoth/Syndicate

1 - Mark Knopfler
$000
He has a style all his own, instead of a pick he uses his thumb and two
fingers to great effect. Writes some great tunes as well, from the
early stuff like Sultans of Swing and the dobro driven Water of Love to
Money for Nothing and stuff from his solo album Golden Heart his sound
is mature and melodic. Plus he never uses effects, only an axe and an
amp.

2 - David Gilmour
$000
The Floyd, what else need be said. Check the solo to Comfortably Numb
and by taken into the world of Gilmour.

3 - Peter Green
$000
"Who he" I hear you say, this man was responsible for the classic
Albatross from the sixties along with other brilliant blues/rock tracks
he cut with Fleetwood Mac.

$fff
4 - Kirk Hammett
$000
Did you know when this man joined Metallica in 1983 he already knew
their entire set? Spent two years being trained by Joe Satriani (no
mean axeman himself) he used all he learned in writing some great riffs
with Metallica. Check out Nothing Else Matters, Fade to Black and the
brilliant solo to One.

5 - Noel Gallagher
$000
Why not?? Okay he only knows a few chords and sticks to Pentatonics but
hell, if they are available use them thats what I say! Check out Some
Might Say and Morning Glory from said album and Columbia from Definitely
Maybe for classic solos and endings.

[Where's Steve Vai and Joe Satriani or even Jeff Healey? Gee. Looks
like I'm gonna have to bring my audio collection down to broading your
tastes! ;) Kei]
